Mountain View Lodge comprises the main house, 2 self-contained holiday cottages and 3 stables with tack room and feed room. The property is nestled in the middle of c. 8.5 acres of wooded and wild meandering meadows where bluebells and native wildflowers com-pete for your attention with Blackthorn, Whitethorn, Mountain Ash, Holly, Silver Birch and Oak. There are spectacular views from every vantage point over 360 degrees, including the magnificent Glenmacnass Valley and majestic Brockagh Mountain. There is a way-marked grass trail of over 1Km around the property, ideal for walking the dogs in a perfect-ly safe environment. Wicklow deer, badger, Irish Hare and native Red Squirrel are fre-quent visitors to the property.
The property is located within the Wicklow Mountains National Park, close to Laragh vil-lage, Glenmacnass Waterfall and the monastic settlement at
Glendalough. The area is a haven for the outdoors and because of its proximity to Coun-ty Wicklow’s most visited attractions Glendalough, Glenmacnass, Sally Gap and others, it attracts a huge volume of tourists and trekkers. The views from the property have to be seen to be believed.
The property has a host of potential possibilities. In the first instance it could continue to be run as the very successful B & B and Self-Catering business it is today. It would make a great private residence with separate self-contained accommodation and lands and sta-bles suitable for the horse enthusiast. It could also be run as an equestrian horse trek-king business providing accommodation. The property would make an ideal retreat for Writers or Artists and others.
