O'Neill and Flanagan is delighted to bring this charming cottage to the market. The multitude of impressive features, include great ceiling height 10'8, creating a wonderful light and flow. Exposed original cut stone internal walls. Old Slates to the pitch roofs in both the dwelling and the garage. Top of the range fittings throughout in kitchen, bathroom, tiling, and flooring etc.
The mature restful garden has many nooks and crannies, an abundance of lush greenery in the trees and shrubs, plus some lovely pieces of granite.
Rose Cottage dating from the 1850's was originally a granite two roomed house with a nearby piggery also beautifully constructed in Wicklow Granite. In 2003 when the decision was taken to extend the house, the aim was to retain all the original features, to incorporate the outbuilding as part of the house and to retain the original house appearance from the road. Cut granite was imported from China and used for the entire extension. Built in the style of the old house using old slates and similar tile capping's, the extension 'wraps' itself around the back of the old house. The new windows are made in the old style but of solid oak with double glazing. Attention to detail and authenticity was the brief and the beautiful home we have today is a testament to that commitment.
